Following the departure of the CPO an opportunity arose to completely review the functional strategy, structure, staffing levels and identify key capability gaps with the view to completely overhauling the Procurement function. Augment developed a 10 week project to identify major improvement opportunities and remediation strategies, delivered by a blend of two senior procurement executives and subject matter experts. Individual assessments and interviews were conducted with the supply team to review awareness, maturity and identify resource based issues and skill gaps. A new structure was designed, along with key process improvements to rectify issues, significantly improve procurement outcomes, as well as reducing overall headcount by 3 FTE.
